The contest is officially open! Here's your chance to show what you know about how to enjoy life in Providence, RI. Create a 1-5 minute video that gives a taste of what this unique city has to offer. Remember to include the message that Regency Plaza Apartments are the gateway to the best of Providence! See below for full rules and guidelines:

The three winners will each receive a prize and the top placed videos will be featured on Regency Plaza’s parent website for Chestnut Hill Realty.

Contest Information
We want to showcase how great living in the heart of Providence can be and how Regency Plaza Apartments are within reach of the city’s finest resources. Regency Plaza Apartments are looking for video submissions from your unique perspective for the following:


a 1-5 minute video that is usable as a informational video for people wanting to become more familiar with Providence


Three winning videos will be chosen with the possibility of honorable mentions. First place is a weekend in Providence Prize Pack (a $250 value), second place will receive two tickets to Trinity Repertory Theatre (a $100 value), and third will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant ($75 value). The first place video will also be featured on Regency Plaza’s parent web site for Chestnut Hill Realty. Entries must be received by, November 1, 2011. The contest winners will be announced in mid to late November via Facebook. Winner must contact Regency Plaza or Chestnut Hill Realty to claim their prize.


We seek videos that convey how diverse and fun it is to live in the Renaissance City. Examples of possible video topics include:

  • Great things to do in Providence during the Fall
  • A perfect day in Providence
  • Date night in Providence for $75 or less
  • Hidden gems of the city
  • Best (martinis, Chinese food, places to picnic, etc) in Providence



    • You may choose to do your own topic as well.


    Getting Started - Basic Information
    Follow these steps to enter the Regency Plaza Apartments: Living in Providence Video Contest:

    Step 1: Get the Details
    Videos must conform to the following criteria: Submissions that do not follow these guideline will not be judged.

  • 1-5 minutes (any length between 1-5 minutes)
  • Contain this phrase or similar sentiment: “Regency Plaza Apartments are the gateway to the best of Providence!”
  • End with text that directs viewers back to Chestnut Hill Realty’s website: CHR-Apartments.com



    • Videos will be judged by a panel of Providence residents on the basis of:

  • Creativity and originality
  • Quality
  • Content of Message



    • Additional Terms and Conditions:

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Keep it clean. No violence, profanity, sex, or direct attacks on individuals or organizations.
  • Your video must not infringe on any third party rights.
  • By submitting a video to this contest, Chestnut Hill Realty (parent of Regency Plaza) understands that you were granted full permission for the people and locations that appear in your video
  • Any injuries that may have occurred while filming are not the liability of Chestnut Hill Realty.
  • Your submission grants Chestnut Hill Realty a royalty-free license to copy, distribute, modify, display and perform publicly and otherwise use.
  • The video must be your own original creation. No copyrighted music, video, or images may be used in the video.
  • Chestnut Hill Realty will disqualify any entries it deems to contain offensive material.
  • Chestnut Hill Realty reserves the right to make your video available to the general public from its Web site and to distribute it to any other organization interested in showing it for educational or marketing purposes, including, but not limited to, on Internet sites, at conferences and events, on television, and other media outlets.
  • The winner must provide a copy of the original video file to CHR to receive their award.



    • Step 2: Make your Video
    Post your video as a response to Regency Plaza Apartments: Living in Providence Video Contest Annoucement video

  • The video file should comply with all requirements of YouTube.
  • Once you've submitted your video for the contest, you will not see your video right away. This is either because it is still processing or is yet to be approved by the group moderator. Please wait at least 3 days for your video to appear before resubmitting.

    • You must like Regency Plaza Apartments AND Chestnut Hill Realty on Facebook

  • Winners will be announced first on Facebook and Chestnut Hill Realty’s blog.
  • It is the winner’s responsibility to contact Regency Plaza or Chestnut Hill Realty
  • The top winner must provide copies of the original video files to CHR to receive the weekend in Providence Prize Pack.



    • Videos can be funny or serious, as long as they focus on the contest theme.


    Privacy Policy
    Personal information collected from video submitters to Regency Plaza Apartments: Living in Providence Video Contest will never be sold. The information collected for this contest will only be used to contact video submitters in direct relation to the contest.

    The contest winners’ first names (and the first names of any honorable mentions Chestnut Hill Realty may select) will be announced publicly as a part of the video contest award recognition process.
