It's always hard to find the time, money, and sometimes the space to get into a fitness routine. We compiled a short list of exercises that you can do from your CHR apartment home without any equipment and will work no matter how limited space is. Before embarking on any new fitness routine you should first consult your doctor.
Wall Sit: Work your legs with this simple yet challenging exercise. With your back against the wall, slide down until your thighs are parallel to the ground and you are in a 'sitting' position. Hold for 60 seconds or as long as you can. Rest for 30 seconds and repeat. Aim for 4 sets. Can't picture how to do it? Check out this 30 second demo.
Arm Circles: You might remember these from elementary school, but they are great for working and toning your arms. Extend your arms to the side and slowly make circles with your arms for 30 seconds clockwise and 30 seconds counter clockwise. Rest for 30 seconds. Aim for 4 sets. Not feeling the burn? Grab a couple of water bottles and hold them for extra weight. For more variations and options check out this video demonstration.
Planking: This is a full body workout, so leave it for last! Get into a push up position and hold for as long as you can. Count slowly or use a timer to see how long you can hold. Rest for 30 seconds and repeat for the same amount of time. Aim for 4 sets. If your wrists are uncomfortable, you can also drop to your elbows. For more tips and alterations see this personal training video.
Follow these exercises with 30 minutes of cardio by either jogging in place in front of the TV or by taking a walk around your apartment community. Don't forget to stretch after!
