CHR's Favorite Superbowl Recipes

The Superbowl is mere days away. It's the perfect time to gather with friends, watch the match up of the year, and eat. And eat, and eat.  We asked some of our own at CHR what their favorite dish is to serve for football fanatics. Bon appetite and GO PATRIOTS!!!!

Easy Cheesy Dip

Ingredients:

(All in equal parts)

Cream Cheese

Mayonnaise

Swiss Cheese

 

Mix cream cheese, mayo, and swiss cheese together and microwave for about 60 seconds. Sprinkle with bacon bits and chive. Serve with crackers. So easy and so delicious!!

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

3 cups Frank's REDHOT Original Sauce

2 cups Melted Butter

Chicken Wings, separated

 

Combine the butter and hot sauce together, keep warm. For each serving, deep fry 12 wings and toss in 6 tablespoons of sauce. You can also bake them in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serve with blue cheese dip and celery sticks!

Skinny Tortilla Chips

Ingredients:

Joseph's Flax Oat Bran Lavash

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt

Pepper

Garlic

Red Pepper Flakes

 

Cut the lavash into tortilla chip sized triangles. Lay them out on a cookie sheet. Spritz with non-stick spray (canola oil) and drizzle with 1-3 teaspoons of EVOO. Season liberally with salt, pepper, garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees until crispy. Roughly 9-12 minutes. Serve with hummus and veggies. It is fantastic!

Sweet and Spicy Meatballs

Ingredients:

Frozen Swedish Meatballs

Heinz Chili Sauce

Grape Jelly

 

Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or until meatballs are tender. So good and leftovers taste even better!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients:

Cooked Chicken, cut in pieces

Frank's REDHOT Original Sauce

Bleu Cheese Dressing

Cream Cheese

 

The amount of chicken will depend on the amount you are serving.  Buy either pre-cooked chicken or cook it yourself in a pan with a bit of olive oil.  In a warm pan, coat the chicken really well with the hot sauce. Make it soupy! Add blue cheese until the sauce thickens and is a light orange color. Add in 1/2 a block of cream cheese. Serve hot/warm with sturdy crackers to withstand the dipping. It'll be a crowd favorite.

Sophie's Bomb Mac n Cheese

Ingredients:

8 oz. to 10 oz. Macaroni or Other Pasta (I use conchiglie!)

3 tablespoons Butter

  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of both Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (plus more for sprinkling on top)
  • 2 1/2 cups Milk
  • 3 cups Cheddar Cheese
  •  
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  1. Boil the pasta until al dente, according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cool water to stop the cooking, and return to the pan you boiled it in. Set aside. (Mix in a little butter to keep the noodles from sticking if it's going to be awhile before you make the sauce).
  2. Over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour, salt, dry mustard, pepper, and 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika. Stir constantly over medium heat for about three minutes. Stir in the milk. Keeping on medium heat, whisk constantly for about 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat, and stir in 2 cups of the cheese, stirring until melted. Pour the cheese sauce over the noodles and toss gently until all noodles are covered. Add half the noodles to a two quart casserole dish Sprinkle on half the cheese. Add the rest of the noodles. Sprinkle on the rest of the cheese, and dust lightly with the smoked paprika. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until it starts getting slightly dry and a tiny bit down on top. Top with bacon pieces and paprika.
