Easy Lazy Weekend BreakfastBe the hero with this simple and great tasting recipe for your lazy weekend morning.


Raspberry French Toast Bake 


-1 lb French load or equally thick crust bread

-Cream cheese

-Raspberry preserves

-4 eggs

-1 cup of milk

-1 tablespoon of sugar

-1 teaspoon of salt



1. Spray a 3 quart glass baking dish with cooking spray.  Cut up the bread into equal sized pieces and begin to make cream cheese and raspberry preserve sandwiches. Once the sandwiches are assembled, arrange them into the baking dish pressing them together if needed.


2. Next beat together the eggs, milk, salt, and sugar together. Pour the mixture over the sandwiches. You can prepare the French toast up to 24 hours ahead of time. 


3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until it's golden brown. Serve with syrup and enjoy!


Make it healthy! Substitute the eggs, milk, and cream cheese for egg beaters, skim milk, and reduce fat cream cheese.

Make it decadent! Mix the cream cheese with Nutella for a one to one ratio and serve with raspberry sauce.
