The forecast this weekend is calling for sunny skies and many of you will hear the outdoors calling. We're all supposed to wear sunscreen every day, but if you're like the majority of us who only use it during the summertime here's a refresher course:
-Use broad-spectrum sunscreen (This protects against both UVA and UVB rays)
-Buy water resistant
-Use 30 SPF or greater
-One ounce (a shot glass full) is considered the amount needed to properly cover exposed skin
-Apply 15 minutes before going outdoors
-Re-apply every two hours
-Don't forget 30 SPF lip-balm!
-Work from the top of your head to the tips of your toes
-Cream lotion are best for skin and face
-Gels are good for the scalp or wear a hat
-Spray lotions work fast but make it easy to miss spot. Be thorough!
