There's an App for That II: HouseworkLet's face it, if it weren't for our iPhones or Androids of choice, we wouldn't remember the Fourth of July let alone the last time we cleaned the fridge. Try taking chores into the 21st century by putting all your apartment organization into your Smartphone. There are some pretty great apps out there to help you sort out your household and CHR found a couple of options.

HomeRoutines (for iPhone):

Follow the link to read the creator's sentiments, but housework really doesn't have to stink! With HomeRoutines you can go into as much details as you like to set daily, weekly, or yearly reminders for your apartment chores. The price is a little on the high side at $4.99, but the flexibility and ease is what you're getting. What we really like about this app is setting your chores into "Zones" and assigning priorities on what your personal "Focus Zones" might be.

If $4.99 is a bit too high for your liking, Try Clean Freak Cleaning Schedule. At $.99, it's not as powerful a tool but it's a great way to see if managing chores through your phone works for you.

Routinely (for Android):

Going the opposite way for Android users, we found Routinely to be the best app for your apartment home. It's easy to use and FREE. Sometimes keeping things simple is the best way to stay on track. The only drawback to Routinely is the more tasks you have the longer the list can become with no real way to sort.

If you want a little more bang for your buck, you could also try Chore Checklist. It's a bit harder to navigate, but you can start out with the free version before you move onto Chore Checklist Pro for $1.50.
