We're almost at the halfway mark of RAK Week at CHR! There’s never been a better time to reach out and make someone’s day a little brighter. You can be a RAKtivist(TM)- - an agent of positive change just by being observant and thoughtful of others. Did you know that scientific studies show that performing acts of kindness actually improve health and life satisfaction? Acts of kindness can increase energy, optimism, self-worth and our sense of connection. Plus, they decrease anxiety, depression and blood pressure. It’s not only the recipient and giver of kindness that benefit. It can also be a life-affirming and inspiring experience for the person who witnesses the acts of kindness.
CHR is pleased to adopt this as a company-wide “holiday,” and encourages everyone take this time to step out of their comfort zones and attempt a new random act of kindness each day. You don’t need to make a donation or spend a bunch of time organizing a philanthropic event. You simply need to take what you already do, and add kindness to it.
