2010 CHR Live Green Resident Events Highlights

2010 was a great year to be green! From a Green Monster Social in Canton, MA to an electronic recycling day in Brookline, MA, CHR apartment communities reduced a carbon or footprint or two.

December, 2010 —"Techie" Waste Collection, Hancock Village, Chestnut Hill, MA
Following the success of Regency Plaza's collection, Hancock Village residents rose to the challenge and brought in thier electronics to the Hancock Village Leasing Office. Whoever participated was entered into a raffle.

November 10, 2010 —"Techie" Waste Collection, Regency Plaza, Providence, RI
Residents brought in 436 pounds of old cellphone, printers, and other electronics to the Hancock Village Leasing Office. Whoever participated was entered into a raffle.

August, 2010 — Norwood Gardens Plastic Bag Recycling, Norwood Gardens, Norwood, MA
Norwood Gardens resident dropped off all their unwanted plastic bags to be put back into good use. At the end of the month a happy resident won a CHR reusable grocery bag.

August, 18, 2010 — Norwest Woods Plastic Bag Recycling and Ice Cream Social, Norwest Woods, Norwood, MA
Residents were asked to bring their plastic bags with them to recycle. Everyone who participated left with an ice cream, a CHR reusable bag, and a smile.

July 21, 2010 — Green Monster Social, Waterfall Hills at Canton, Canton, MA
Waterfall Hills residents came to the clubhouse to relax, eat, and discuss what environmentally friendly tips they use in thier home and what else CHR can do to be green. Two lucky residents walked home with a CHR reusable grocery bag.
