Can you believe that September is right around the corner? We've been taking full advantage of the weather with some really fun resident events. The above photo was taken at Ridgecrest Village Apartments, in West Roxbury this month for a viewing of Disney's Frozen by the pool. If you haven't caught a movie outside yet, you must before it gets cooler! It's a great way to spend an evening during these dog days of summer.
Have you done all the things you wanted to do this summer? Here are three things we are hoping to check off the list before the fall.
1. Go to a Farmer's Market: Take advantage of the fresh fruit and veggies while you can! Many towns have their own weekly markets. Click on your town to find out more:
Brookline, MA: Thursdays at Centre Street and Beacon St
Cambridge, MA: One every day of the week! Click through to see the map of locations.
Canton, MA: Saturdays at Crescent Ridge Creamery
Framingham, MA: Thursdays at 60 Edgell Rd
Norwood, MA: Tuesdays on Norwood Common
Plainville, MA: Sundays at the Old Wood School
West Roxbury, MA: Sundays at 1857 Centre Street
Providence, RI: Saturdays on Hope Street
Portsmouth, RI: Saturdays on East Main Street in Middleton
2. Eat a Popsicle: Skip the ice cream, this frozen treat will bring you back to those summery childhood memories. You don't even need to go to the store. With some Dixie cups and some sticks you can make your own popsicle. You can use any combination of fruit (that you just bought at the Farmer's Market) or you can take 3 cups of milk, one cup of Nutella and yourself a DIY fudgesicle. Get the full instructions here.
3. Catch a Sunset: Take the time to sit and enjoy the weather and watch the sunset. Piers Park in Boston, MA and Prospect Terrace Park in Providence, RI are two great places to take it all in as the sun goes down.
What are your summer traditions?
