CHR's Village Green Apartments Still Feeling the Effect of Irene

As of this morning 65,000 people are still without power in Massachusetts, of those 400 of them are our residents at Village Green.  As much as we were all told to prepare for Hurricane Irene, it's still hard to visualize what it would actually be like to live without modern conveniences.  Below is a list of places you can go to get through while National Grid works to get the power back on.

 

Village Green

We are working on getting the clubhouse showers up and running for out residents. In addition to providing breakfast this morning, we also are offering <fill in the blank Donna> We will post on Facebook, the Resident Services Site, and update this blog post with more information as we go. 

 

National Grid

We collected all the ways National Grid is giving out their information on restoration times.

Hockomock YMCA

Everyone in the area that is still feeling the effects of Hurricane Irene are welcome to bring their toiletries and towels to use their facilities. 

 

King Philip Regional Middle School

For the last two days, King Philip has fed its neighbors during the outage. Today they are working again to see it the can make it happen again. Call for more information or to volunteer.

 

Our Lady of La Salette Shrine

An emergency shelter for those still without power who need oxygen or use medical equipment is welcome.

 

Attleboro Public Library

Electric and Wi-Fi have been restored to the library. This include AC for those looking for some relieve from the heat.
