Eating Green: The Dirty DozenWe all want to be good, but sometimes buying organic isn’t always possible when you’re trying to stay within your budget.  The Environmental Working Group has found that people who eat the 12 most contaminated fruits and vegetables consume an average of 10 pesticides a day and washing doesn’t always help.  In the Greater Boston Area and in Providence, RI we have access to great farmer's market's and local farms. The sunny days of summer makes it easy to save your produce shopping somewhere a little more local. Read the list below and consider shopping for your fruits and veggies from organic or local farms.

Worst: (Buy Organic)

1.     Peaches

2.     Apples

3.     Bell peppers

Best: (Lowest in Pesticides)

1.     Onions

2.     Avocados
