Fall Into Fitness: WalktoberA number of CHR employees are strapping on their sneakers and hitting the sidewalk in a friendly competition for glory and bragging rights. Walktober is a 31-day program with one goal in mind: go take a walk! Employee's success is tracked by the number of minutes they walk per day. 30-44 minutes equals a red leaf, 45-59 minutes equals an orange leaf, and 60 plus minutes equals a gold leaf.


Walking is low-impact, easy, and inexpensive. Everyone has a busy schedule, but taking 30 minutes to go for a walk is sometimes more feasible than trying to get to the gym. When you walk, you can:

-lose weight.

-enhance energy.

-reduce stress.

-increase productivity at home and at work.

-lower disease risk.

-sleep better.
