Are you ready to wow and charm your guests with your Thanksgiving table in your CHR apartment? No? Neither are we.
It's ok! Here is a list of some quick and easy table ideas just in time for turkey day.
Walnut Place Cards: No need to be extravagant. Cut some brightly colored paper and insert them into a partially opened walnut. That's it! See Martha's directions here.
Grocery Bag Place Mats: Let's face it, place mats are made to get food on them. Upcycle your Trader Joe's bags and give your table a rustic feel at the same time. Check out the Guilty Crafter's video on how to make your own. You can go crazy with the edges or keep it simple.
Ribbon: Ribbon can make anything look fancier. Use some nice quality ribbon and tie your utensils together or use it instead of napkin rings. Throw a spring of rosemary or other fresh herb into the mix and it's instant elegance. Check out the first photo on this Design Dump post or this Dagmar's Home post to see what we mean.
Color Scheme: If you're not up to anything complex, keep everything white with hints of gold or other autumn tones. If you're looking to kick it up a notch, think blue as pictured above or in this Celebrations At Home post. Autumn oranges and blues contrast so nicely.
Flowers: Break out a mix of glassware and flip them upside down for a fun and easy way to display flowers. (Bonus: If you run them along the table there's no need for a centerpiece.) Midwest Living says to use artificial flowers, but we suggest just cutting the flowers heads and placing them on the table a few minutes before your guests are due.
