Brookline, MA – A digital newsletter, sent monthly via email to 1400 residents of the Hancock Village apartment community in Brookline, was one of two e-newsletters to receive an award at a national social media, digital and content marketing awards ceremony in New York City in June.
The awards program, presented by Ragan Communications and PR Daily, recognized campaigns, strategies, teams and organizations whose work stood out for its creativity, execution and results. Hancock Village, among titans in the marketing industry that included New York’s top ad agencies and internationally recognized brands, received Honorable Mention in the e-newsletter category.
Hancock Village’s newsletter gives residents a central communications vehicle that informs them about happenings around the property in an engaging, easy-to-read format. The challenge for the newsletter was to create a sense of connection among the Village’s many residents who live in townhomes and mid-rise buildings spread across an 80-acre campus. By combining resident and staff profiles, photos from resident events, news about upcoming events, and upbeat seasonal items in short, digestible blurbs, the newsletter resonated with residents. Since its inception in January 2025, the newsletter has enjoyed a nearly 80% open rate every month.
