Senior Service Technician (Apply by 5/10/24)

Chestnut Hill Realty has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Technician to join the team for our Hancock Village community.  The successful candidate will bring outstanding maintenance and customer service skills, as well as an enthusiastic spirit to ensure a first class resident experience.  This position is based out of the Adams building, a newly constructed building. This position requires significant interaction with residents and prospective tenants on a regular basis.

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Maintain building(s) through routine maintenance and/or repairs, including, but not limited to, routine carpentry, electrical, and/or plumbing work, preparation for unit turnover, etc.
  • Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances, and interiors
  • Schedule work to be completed in vacant units
  • May schedule contractors to complete tasks as necessary
  • Handle resident service requests and work orders
  • May provide administrative support for the service department which may include: updating weekly excel reports and payscan.
  • Regularly communicate with other staff, including Director of Maintenance and Property Manager, to update status of tenant and/or property issues, capital improvements, etc.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all maintenance programs and capital improvement projects to ensure the proper and efficient operation of systems, preventive maintenance programs, and responses to resident service requests.          

Maintenance Technicians:

  • Prefer to work with your hands, problem solving on electrical, plumbing and appliance issues
  • Enjoy being part of a hardworking, dedicated team
  • Enjoy a variety of responsibilities, taking on challenging situations and come up with creative solutions
  • Understand emergencies arise, and are comfortable being on call (weekends and nights required)
  • Valid driver license and reliable transportation is required
