Are you ringing in the New Year in the warmth and comfort of your CHR Apartment? Here are a few broadcasts that will be sure to entertain until the ball drops:
Live from Lincoln Center: Enjoy an evening at the symphony on PBS. Live From Lincoln Center will present the New York Philharmonic: New Year's Eve Gala Concert at 8:30pm. This year's performance will revolve around music from Gershwin and Bernstein.
TV Marathons: A tried and true tradition for some households, marathons are a great way to relive your favorite shows or catch up on some new ones. MTV's "Jersey Shore" marathon aside, there's some excellent programming to watch. As always, SyFy will be airing "Twilight Zone" from 6am through New Year's Day, but AMC is changing things up and showing their breakthrough show of 2010 "The Walking Dead" from 10am to midnight instead of their usual “Three Stooges” marathon.
American Country New Year's Eve Live: Science fiction not quite up your alley? Then grab your cowboy hat for Fox's all country themed celebration at 11pm. Comedian Rodney Carrington hosts live from Las Vegas with performances from American Idol finalist Lauren Alaina, Eli Young Band, Toby Keith and more.
Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve: Even ABC has something new for you this year. At 8pm the night starts with "New Year's Rockin' Eve: The 40th Anniversary Party". Watch memorable moments from past celebrations and get a little nostalgic before Ryan Seacrest picks up the reins at 10pm. Tons of musical performances this year from Florence and the Machine to Beyonce.
Whatever you choose to do this Saturday, make it safe and fun. Happy New Year! May your 2012 be the best yet!
